Aunjanue Ellis

Aunjanue Taylor is an American actress and producer best recognized for her roles played on Ray Undercover Brother, The Mentalist and The television series The Mentalist. She has a Bachelor's degree in African-American Studies and an MFA from the Tisch School of the Arts New York University. Aunjanue is an actor in the theater and film in addition to being a producer. She started her career in the theater before appearing on a variety of TV programs and both mainstream and independent film. She became famous as Miranda Shaw, a character in ABC's Quantico. In BET's epic show The Book of Negroes she performed. In addition, she get praise from critics for her character, she did she also win a couple of awards and nominations. In 1995, she made her acting debut on stage in The Tempest as Ariel. Stage credits are Come and Gone Drowning Crow and Seeking the Genesis, a Broadway production directed by Joe Turner. Coming to her movie career she is known best for her role in movies like Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express and The Help. Her role as a regular in ABC's drama detective series High Incident earned her praises.
