Anamaria Marinca, a Romanian-born actress. Her screen debut was with Sex Traffic, a Channel 4 movie for which she was awarded the British Academy Television Award as the best actress. The actress speaks French, German, English and Romanian fluently. Her father was an actor as well as her mother a violinist. The award was presented to her as the Best Female Actor of the Year in 2000 Award during The Young Actor Gala Mangalia. She was chosen as an European Shooting Star by the European Film Promotion Board in the year 2008. The actress was in Cristian Mugiu's Romanian film "4 luni 3 saptamani e 2 zile" (4 3 Weeks, 4 Months and 2 Days) which earned her the Palme d'Or award at Cannes Film Festival 2007. The film also earned two additional awards: it was awarded the Cinema Prize of French National Education System (FIPRESCI Prize) and the Cinema Prize. Youth Without Youth, a Francis Ford Coppola movie, was also part of her career. In 2008, Marinca portrayed Yasim in the BBC's Five-Episode The Last Enemy. Marinca had roles in Oliver Hirschbiegel's Five Minutes of Heaven as also in the Romanian drama Boogie. In the following year, she was major roles in 2014's Fury where she played Irma the German Aunt of Emma.
