Kristen Anne Bell is an American actress and performer born in 1980. The parents of Kristen Bell are Tom Bell and Lorelei Frygier who are both news director on television. She was raised and from Huntington Woods Michigan. She has Polish (mother's) and German (father's), English, Irish and Scottish ancestry. Kristen found her talent in entertainment at an early stage of her life. In 1992, she was awarded her first role at the auditions for Raggedy Ann & Andy. Bell was signed by her mother as an agent when she was thirteen years old. Bell was later selected for newspapers ads as well as commercials for TV. In the same year she began taking training in private acting. Bell appeared on the screen in Polish Wedding (2000) in 1998 as an uncredited actor. Bell was part of the music and drama groups at Shrine Catholic High School. Bell was chosen to play the lead role as Dorothy in the school's play The Wizard of Oz. Bell studied musical theatre at the prestigious Tisch School of the Arts located in New York City after graduating. Bell, who graduated in 2001, resigned her university studies to perform in the role of Becky in Tom Sawyer. In 2001, she made her first credit debut playing the character of Becky Pootie Tang. The film was cut, however the film cut her character from the film, and she was not even in the credits. Bell made an appearance on Broadway for the first time in The Crucible, a revival which featured Liam Neeson with Angela Bettis.
